This week we highlight non-profit client Region A Partnership for Children (RAPC), as they celebrate 25 years in partnership with families and community leaders in WNC. This organization administers North Carolina’s Smart Start and NC Pre-K initiatives in the seven western-most counties and on the Qualla Boundary. The overall goal of the Partnership is to ensure that all children arrive at school healthy and prepared to succeed.
RAPC manages a total of nine Smart Start programs, including child care training, reading advocacy, family support for parents and caregivers and more, all gaged to build an integrated system of services for children and their families among public, private, and non-profit partners.
By encouraging collaboration and funding services that focus on early intervention, RAPC strives to improve the quality of life for young children and families of Western North Carolina.
