1981 Founder Harry Jackson opens Advanced Business Equipment in the Oak Forest Shopping Center, with 4 employees
1992 ABE builds new facilities and transfers to the current location on Sweeten Creek Rd; has 14 employees
1998 ABE adds additional building space for warehouse, has 32 employees
1999 ABE becomes Authorized Konica Minolta Training Facility
1999 ABE receives Konica Minolta Pro-Tech Service Center award for 1st time...and goes on to win it every year thereafter
2000 ABE adds 2-story wing onto Sweeten Creek facilities, has 42 employees
2001 ABE expands offerings to add network copiers and other office equipment
2002 Kevin Jackson, son of founder Harry, joins the ABE Sales team
2004 ABE becomes Authorized Canon Training Facility
2008 Harry retires; Kevin takes over as CEO and President
2008 ABE receives Bizhub Pro Standards award from Konica Minolta
2009 ABE receives Asheville Chamber of Commerce Skyhigh Growth Award
2010 ABE expands to open the location in Greenville, SC, serving the Upstate

2017 ABE implements a web-based service/technician fleet management tool with real-time GPS tracking technology for fast, efficient service and support

2018 ABE employs 40+ people, including 15 service technicians and 11 account representatives in 2 states
