While it's true that our non-profit client of the week, Meals on Wheels of Asheville-Buncombe County (MOWABC), provides hot, nutritious meals delivered to elderly, homebound persons, that is not the single focus of their mission. Their work ultimately enables the elderly to live in their own homes, among familiar surroundings, and maintain their dignity while aging.

Across the country this organization provides people who are blind or visually impaired with new opportunities in the form of employment, training and other services.
